June Pick for Teen Book Club | Alissa Wolenetz, Library Director

The Library is trial-running a teen book club. For our May and June clubs, we asked teens to vote for a book from the five most popular titles in young adult fiction. We advertised the voting process on our social media and around the building. After the voting, we ordered A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson for May and Heartstopper Vol. 1 by Alice Oseman for June.

The book the teens picked for June, Heartstopper Vol. 1, is the first comic book in a series about a queer high school couple. The book club is an optional part of the teen summer reading program, and equivalent points can be gained through other activities.

Questions about the selection process for the book club or our summer reading program may be directed to the Library Director or Board.
