Overview
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a free book-giving program for children ages 0-5.
Every month, a book is mailed from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library directly to the child at no cost to families. Book costs are covered by local sponsors, so the program is always completely free to the public.
Registration for Fergus County began online and at the Library on September 10, 2022 during Chokecherry Festival. As of May 1, 2023, this program has been expanded statewide through a generous sponsorship from the Treasure State Foundation (i.e., the First Spouse of Montana’s foundation). The Lewistown Public Library is happy to announce that in addition to Fergus County, we will now be registering children from Golden Valley County and Petroleum County.
This program is hosted by the Friends of the Library and Lewistown Public Library. As of May 1, 2023, the Treasure State Foundation provides 50% of funding for Fergus County and 100% of funding for Golden Valley County and Petroleum County.
