The Lewistown Public Library invites you to “Find the Library at Your Place” this week. The American Library Association first sponsored National Library Week in 1958 as a time to celebrate our nation’s libraries and library workers. As our country celebrates National Library Week; April 19 – 25, your LPL is rolling out a brand-new service for our patrons.
The Library staff is happy to announce book check out is once again available. The new “takeout window” allows patrons to check out physical library items. Exciting!
To use the takeout window, simply login into your patron account via the Library website and login in. Search for your desired item and choose the “place hold” option. Placing a hold on items can also be accomplished by calling the library (Tuesday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.) and putting items on hold. Library staff will prepare items for pickup and call patrons when the takeout is ready. Items will be placed at the takeout window for patron pickup.

As library services have adapted during this time, the National Library Week’s theme “Find the Library at Your Place” is fitting. Libraries continue to offer resources and information, books, eBooks, storytimes, audio books, groups and new ways to connect – from the safety and comfort of your place of choice.
Central Montana is very blessed to have a public library. During National Library Week, please take a moment and consider appreciation for the Lewistown Public Library. Your Library staff continues to strive and serve Lewistown and Fergus County to the best of our ability. We greatly appreciate the support! #NationalLibraryWeek | #LibrariesTransform
