Family Summer Reading Program 2016
The Library is busy planning this year’s Family Summer Reading Program, and the librarians are putting together projects, reading lists, programs, and activities for the theme of Health, Wellness and Fitness. In the youth area, the theme is titled Get in the Game! and the adult theme is Exercise Your Mind. The Library will be bringing healthy activities, nutrition, active games, mind games, music and writing programs, and wellness to its patrons this summer. Both groups will maintain a reading and activity log with a calendar of events. Youth can win weekly prizes and participate in drawings for the end of the program. Adults will participate in earning tickets towards end of the program drawings, grand prizes and ultimate prizes. Story times, scavenger hunts, a History of Music presentation, book discussions, board game night, writing clubs, hiking, park visits, trail walks and many other activities are planned. Sign up the week of June 7th for all the information. The program runs for 9 weeks and ends the 6th of August. We look forward to seeing you!
