On November 6 at 6:00 p.m., “Lincoln and Liberty, Too: the Musical Legacy of the Civil War” will feature Bill Rossiter in the library’s upstairs meeting room. Their messages, both the official songs and the sometimes-wicked parodies written by the troops, give us an often missed glimpse of the period. Bill Rossiter, retired Flathead Valley Community College instructor of literature and folklore, will use banjo, guitar, autoharp and harmonica to bring this period of our history to life.
