Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a free book-giving program for children ages 0-5. Each month, children receive a book in the mail. Books are free thanks to local sponsors, including Central Montana Foundation, the Treasure State Foundation, and the Friends of the Library.

Class Visits
Each month, more than 150 local students visit the Library with local schools to learn about library services and check out books.
To set up a new school or homeschool visit, please contact the Library.
Teen and Tween Activities
We offer free dinners and wellness programs for tweens and teens. This program is sponsored by One Health, the Library, and many local organizations.

Science Fiction and Fantasy Club

- 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. in the Upstairs Meeting Room
Curious Cinema Club
- Films that inspire the mind as well as the senses, and leave us pondering those most curious of human questions
- 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. (pre-show at 5:30 p.m.) in the Upstairs Meeting Room
A-Z Book Club
- Books for newcomers to the community and old souls
- 4th Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. in the Downstairs Lobby

We visit assisted living, residential, and medical facilities to bring Library services directly to residents.

Join us for six weeks of fun for all ages each summer!
Read, come to programs, visit local parks and events, and complete weekly challenges to win tickets for our prize drawings.
Color of the Month Reading Challenges
Cozy up with a good book to win – wait for it – more good books!
Pick up your challenge ticket (which is also a great bookmark) each month from October through May at the Library.
Tickets are due by the end of May.
Community StoryWalk®
Visit the Frog Ponds and read a story as you walk! This project is a joint effort of the Library and Lewistown Parks & Recreation Department, made possible through generous community support.
Our StoryWalk® signs were designed, built, and donated by Spika Manufacturing, Lewistown Public Works donated post-hole digging. Concrete was donated and poured by Casino Creek Concrete. The Friends of the Library donated landscaping. MSU-Extension donated installation labor.
