Youth Services Librarian Job Posting
Overview
The Lewistown Public Library is seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to work as our Youth Services Librarian. We are looking for someone who wants to inspire area youth (ages 0-18) with engaging programming, has a love of books and book culture, and would like to be part of a team-oriented profession with established and dedicated coworkers.
Librarianship is a specialty field. A Master’s of Library and Information Science degree and/or experience working in a library is preferred. However, we are willing to work with a high-quality candidate if they are motivated to learn these specialized skills in-house. Opportunities for certification and continuing education are available.
Lewistown is a cozy little community in Central Montana. This job offers the opportunity to engage with patrons and organizations from all of Fergus County and beyond. Established as a Carnegie Library in 1905, the Lewistown Public Library is proud to offer enriching programs and thoughtful collections free to all Fergus County residents. We have a supportive and creative work environment focused on innovation, kindness, community collaborations, individual development, and continued learning.
