Computers are Back! By Dani Buehler

Big things are happening at the Library! We are excited to be offering a new service to our community, a spectacularly timed service, a necessary service, an awesome service. Through a generous grant made available by the Montana State Library we now have laptops available for checkout. These devices can be borrowed and taken home for a period of one week. Or, they can be used while you visit the Library. For many months, the Library has only had 2 computers available to the public due to the social distancing requirements. Now, we have multiple laptops available for patron use that offer digital mobility and healthy choices. Magic, huh!

Well, that is what we do here at libraries. We create space for the magical, the informative, and the indispensable. Think of how important internet connection is right now. Digital mobility is a vital component for telemedicine visits, for employees to be able to telework effectively, for students to be able to complete assignments virtually, and for individuals to be able to stay informed on current events. We love collaboration at the Library and want to hear how you or your organization could use these free devices. If you are intrigued, feel free to stop by the library or give us a call and we can help you connect to the information around you.

Thanks to a generous grant made available through the Montana State Library, laptops and hotspots are now available for checkout at the Lewistown Public Library.
