Walking Book Club by Kari Denison

Do you like to read?  Do you also enjoy walking?  If yes, then the Library’s new Walking Book Club may be just be for you!

Our new Walking Book Club will start up this summer during the Summer Reading Program “Universe of Stories”.  Sign-ups for the Walking Book Club will take place during the 1st week of the program:  Tuesday, June 4 – Saturday, June 8.  Ten slots are available for the Walking Book Club and the Library will have copies for checkout of the book chosen for discussion.

“Bring Jade Home: The True Story of a Dog Lost in Yellowstone” by Michelle Caffrey is the selected title for this first book club.  The book will be read in the five remaining weeks of the Summer Reading Program.  Participants will read a set number of chapters each week and discuss while strolling with the group on the walking trail.  The 30-minute walk will be moderate in activity.

The Walking Book Club will meet on Tuesdays during the lunch hour.  Meet in the upstairs meeting room with book and walking shoes on.  The first group will meet on Tuesday, June 11 at 12pm.

Sign up at the Library front desk.  For more information contact the Library at 538-5212 or visit www.lewistownlibrary.org
