Youth Services Librarian Job Description

The Lewistown Public Library is seeking out a motivated and ambitious individual to work as our Youth Services Librarian. We are seeking an energetic individual who wants to inspire area youth with engaging programming, someone who has a love of books and book culture, and a person who is seeking a team-oriented profession with established and dedicated co-workers.

Librarianship is a specialty field, therefore an MLIS degree is preferred and/or experience working in a library, but we will work with a high-quality candidate if they are motivated to learn these specialized skills in-house. Opportunities for certification and continuing education is available.

Lewistown is a cozy little community in Central Montana. And the Library has been the hub of this beautiful community for the past 113 years. Established as a Carnegie Library in 1905, the Lewistown Public Library is proud to offer enriching programming and thoughtful collections free to Fergus county residents. Join our team!
