January 8 Meetings
Friends of the Library will sort books 10:00 am. – 12:00 p.m., followed by the monthly business meeting at 12:30 in the upstairs meeting room.

The Library Board of Trustees will meet at 2:00 p.m. in the upstairs meeting room. The public is welcome.

Launch of New Library Service
Come to an Open House on January 15, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. to explore “Library Connect”, a new service provided by the Library staff. For those of you who do much of your library borrowing via the Internet, this service may be especially helpful. Come in and see what it is all about.

5th Annual Chili Bowl January 23
The doors of Jack’s Hangar will open at 5:00 p.m. for a rousing evening of food, friends and fun–chili and trivia, that is. A $10.00 ticket includes a complete chili dinner and an entry fee for one person. To assure adequate seating, please pre-register your team of no more than eight You may purchase your tickets from the Library or at the door. This fundraiser benefits the Lewistown Public Library’s Summer Reading Program and has become a fun event to look forward to during those cold winter months. Get on your thinking caps and get those competitive spirits flowing.

Electronic Devices and MontanaLibrary2Go
If you are a recipient of a new electronic device (MP3 player, tablet, or e-reader) and want to use MontanaLibrary2Go, please be prepared with the following before seeking a library staff person’s help: Have the device registered in your name and know any passwords needed for downloading apps. Have a functioning email address. Know how to navigate around on the device and be sure batteries are fully charged. If the device cannot download apps, you will need a personal computer with internet access and a USB cable in-order to download software and e-materials. We look forward to assisting you.

Baby—Pre-school Story Time
Story Times for Babies & Toddlers, and Pre-school & Kindergarten-aged children will be held Friday, January 9, 16, 23, and 30 at 10:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Babies and Toddlers meet with Nancy Bostrom in the upstairs meeting room. The older children meet with Lora Poser-Brown in the downstairs youth area.

The Book Station
Please note on your calendar, the next Book Sale will be for two days during the Winter Fair, January 30 and 31. There will not be a sale February 7.
