Open hours are modified to ensure employees are offered leave for City-recognized holidays. Routine changes to hours are posted around the Library, on the Library website and social media, and in the Lewistown News-Argus.
In emergency situations, Library hours may be modified at the Director’s discretion in consultation with the Board Chair. Emergency situations that require closure include, but are not limited to, severe weather or other situations that threaten staff and patron safety. Alternatively, the Director may extend Library hours during severe weather events to provide a climate-controlled space for public use.
