This year’s annual Family Summer Reading Program theme is “Libraries Rock”. The program will begin on Tuesday, June 5 and will wrap up on Saturday, July 14.
Summer Reading at the Library is a 6-week program for the entire family. Each week participants follow a task sheet, complete reading challenges and have options to attend a variety of programming and events. Each summer the Family Summer Reading Program flourishes and grows thanks to our creative staff and the Library’s strong community partnerships sponsoring presentations and programs. Sign ups are available for the duration of the program.
Storytime continues throughout the summer on Friday mornings at 10:30am for babies – preschool kids. Youth programming for all ages is set each week with a scheduled activity.
The adult reading program also follows a task sheet and at times participants are invited to ‘read outside of the box’. Active summer reading adult participants are eligible to put their name in for the weekly drawing.
Local musicians will host a Songwriters In The Round on Thursday, June 7 at 6pm. A special concert with Kalispell duo Stick and String is set for June 14 at 6pm. Humanities speaker Mark Matthews present History of American Social Dance on Thursday, June 21 at 6pm. The Jack & Kitty concert is scheduled for Saturday, July 14 at 6pm.
See you at the Library!
