Winter Weather and Renewals
During our snowy weather, it is often difficult to get to the library to return items. Phone us and we will gladly renew your items. Or, better yet, renew online by clicking on “find books” and “search catalog.” On the upper right side, log into your account with your library card number and pin (first time use “changeme”). On the left, click on “My Profile” and “My Library Account.”
You can view what you have checked out, renew, change your pin and/or address and also place holds. Give us a call if you have forgotten your pin. Your online account works all year round but is especially great when you are snowbound.
The Book Station
Please note on your calendar, the next Book Sale will be for two days during the Winter Fair, January 30 and 31. There will not be a sale February 7.
5th Annual Chili Bowl January 23
Put on your thinking caps and get those competitive spirits flowing. The doors of Jack’s Hangar will open at 5:00 p.m. for a rousing evening of food, friends and fun–chili and trivia, that is. A $10.00 ticket includes a complete chili dinner and an entry fee for one person. To assure adequate seating, please pre-register your team of no more than eight. You may purchase your tickets from the Library or at the door. This fundraiser benefits the Lewistown Public Library’s Summer Reading Program and has become a fun event during our cold winter months.
Baby—Pre-school Story Time
Story Times for Babies & Toddlers, and Pre-school & Kindergarten-aged children will be held Friday, January 16, 23, and 30 at 10:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Babies and Toddlers meet with Nancy Bostrom in the upstairs meeting room. The older children meet with Lora Poser-Brown in the downstairs youth area.
