Happenings 7/21/2014

Only two more weeks remain of the summer reading program. All reporting must be turned in by Aug. 2 to earn prizes and/or tickets for the grand prize drawings. Youth grades 1-6 may still enjoy Story time/activities at 1:30 on Wednesdays and the drop-in craft on Saturdays, anytime from 10:00 to 1:30. Activity sheets and the Library scavenger hunt for all ages are available at the circulation desk and youth desk. The summer program ends August 2. Please express your appreciation to our generous sponsors.

New Early Literacy Computer Station   awe 002
Come explore our new early literacy computer station. This non-internet computer is full of educational programs for children ages 2-8, including “Bailey’s Book House,” “Between the Lions,” “Diego” and “Dora” and many more. Sign in for a 30 minute session at the youth services desk. Headphones may be checked out for this computer or you may use your own. A grant from the Central Montana Foundation funded this computer.

August Book Sale
The Book Station will be open 9:00 am – 2:00 pm Saturday, August 2, for your browsing and buying pleasure.

Friends of the Library
The next Friends business meeting will be held Thursday, July 31 at 10:00 am in the upstairs meeting room. Wondering about joining the Friends? This is a great way to learn more about the organization and how it helps the Library.
